This is our family tree

Egis (also spelt aegis) means protection. Protector of people. In Greek mythology it was a shield or breastplate to protect whomever was behind it.

That is what this website is doing. Protecting the history of our ancestors. They are the bones of our bones and the flesh of our flesh. We are; because of them, and by telling their story we bring them back to life.

As we evolve and families become more flexible, now more than ever, it is necessary to document our lives so our descendants know who we are, and how they came to be, for they too are the bones of our bones.

They are my 15 great great grandparents. Through DNA, we can confirm that we are related to each other.

How is the question?

All of us belong to a branch of the family tree, and all of us have bits and pieces of each others lives. It's time to complete our family tree; to put all of the bits and pieces together in one location for all of us to access.

To do that, we need to help each other. Isn't that what family is for?
